Never go to or use Presbyterian Hospital or it's affilliates for any of your medical needs - including Presbyterian Anesthesia Associates. I absolutely love my doctor and he has hospital rights at both Presbyterian Hospital and Carolinas Medical. I had never been to either hospital before but needed to have outpatient surgery. I chose a day that my Dr. used Presbyterian Hospital which is where I ended up. BIG MISTAKE. If I had known what I would encounter with Presbyterian Anesthesis Associates after the surgery, I would have never opted to use their facilities and I would have definitely gone to CMC instead. My Dr. was great and so was the OR staff. However, the Business Office of Presbyterian Hospital is insensitive, uncooperative and will not work with you - even if you are paying them. Within 2 months of my surgery, I had my balance down to less than $200 and they were going to turn me into a collection agency even though I was paying them. I explained to them when I first got the bill that I had every intention of paying it but I needed to pay in installments because I several medical bills I was paying because I'd been hospitalized 7 months prior to this surgery and I was still paying those bills as well. Apparently this didn't matter and it did not matter that I was paying them as I said I would. My advice if you do not want to be harrassed and aggravated with Presbyterian Anesthesia Associates after surgery and/or while recovering - NEVER GO TO PRESBYTERIAN!!!
