Ranson Middle School offers a variety of educational services and promotes cultural diversity among students in grades six through eight. It provides programs in science, social studies, language arts and mathematics. The school s International Baccalaureate program provides a framework of academic challenges. Its talent and development program offers an instructional placement curriculum in language arts and math. The school also encourages participation in various sports programs, such as cheerleading, softball, golf, volleyball, soccer, baseball and track. Its media center houses more than 15 computers, over 11,500 books, nearly 30 magazine titles and several newspapers. The school s media center also provides projectors, overhead screens, televisions and video recorders for classroom instruction. Ranson Middle School is located in Charlotte, N.C.
