I have been involved in boxing both as a competitive athlete and trainer for over 20 years and Joe's system is the most organized and detailed of any program I have been involved in. He breaks down the fundamentals so anyone can learn them and the program has a track record of prove success. It doesn't matter if you are wanting to become a top professional, just want to loose a few pounds, or a fitness guru wanting to be challenged to the next level, he has the program for you.

When we started at Contender's...

When we started at Contender's Boxing, we were looking for a program to keep our 13 year old son, Wade, well conditioned in his off season, as well as build his overall confidence. The results that Contender's Boxing has delivered, far exceeded all of our expectations. After just a few months of learning how to train, he started loving the training and workouts, and pushes himself to the limit (which is not common for a teenager). His agility, coordination, strength and endurance have all increased dramatically in a short period of time. It's such a friendly atmosphere at Contender's, with a focus on training, and seasoned boxers helping the new guy. I would highly recommend Contender's to anyone looking to develop athletic skill and/or wanting an unbelievable workout program.

Thanks,

Jeff Harris

Real Deal

I have been training at contenders with my 14 year old now for 2 months. If you want to learn boxing and get in shape this is the place to go. If you want to pretend to workout go to one of the chains around town. A normal training session at Contenders will last about an hour. A great place to get in shape and develop boxing skills. No frills just a top notch workout.

Real boxing

I went to this gym recently and true it's not fancy like the other reviewer suggested. But you get actual boxing training and get fit in the process. It's not necessarily for people looking for a "cool spot". But if boxing is what you want to learn this is the place.

Smells Horrible

Converted garage turned boxing gym. Very small, outdated and obsolete equipment. Cost as much as Peak and other reputable chains but is an absolute heap in comparison. Owner seems nice and knowledgable but the lack of cleanliness is a huge issue. Still looking for a clean and reputable boxing gym. Hope there is one in town.
