Unbelievably Poor Customer Service

Tyco arranged to add equipment to my existing ADT system in a window from 12-5 this past Monday, requiring that I leave work early. The installers arrived at approximately 3:30PM, looked around my house, and said they had not brought the right equipment, blaming Tyco for not asking which system I had. The two installers called multiple numbers at Tyco and did not receive an answer at the main office or two managers' cell phones. Hours later, Tyco called back and arranged to install the equipment on Friday from 12-5, again necessitating I miss work. At 9:30AM, the installer called and said he was on his way. I informed him I was at work, and he said he'd let Tycho know to come that afternoon as arranged. Tyco called at 4PM that afternoon to say they were not coming and wanted to arrange yet ANOTHER day for me to miss work!! I said no. A manager called back and said he would arrange to have a technician come later Friday evening "sometime". I said no, of course. How much time does Tyco think they can rob from working class citizens? Tyco refused to offer any type of credit or compensation, refused to give me a customer service number to Tyco, and instead gave me the number to ADT to arrange installation!! Not one single time did Tyco apologize. Unbelievable they manage to retain any customers.



The ADT manager I spoke to, however, was apologetic, empathetic, and credited my account immediately for two months. Unfortunately, I still had to be referred to Tyco to have the equipment installed, but the manager ("Daniel") was incredibly rude yet again when I spoke to him when he misunderstood my request for a morning install, angrily declaring, "I don't have anything tomorrow morning. The offer I made was for tonight!" I had to slowly explain I meant A morning install ("a" is an indefinite determiner, Daniel). ADT's manager also promised I would be first on the list for installs whichever morning I chose, and Daniel did confirm he would have the installer at my place by 8AM the next Monday.



I'll post more if the customer service worsens yet from Tyco!
