The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services is a unit of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, which operates through health, finance, transportation, justice and administration divisions. Located in Charlotte, N.C., the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services offers rehabilitation engineering and college and vocational education-related services. The division also provides counseling, personal assistance, and physical and mental restoration services. In addition, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services offers legal advocacy, assessment, consultation, and home and vehicle modification services to people with physical and learning disabilities. The division provides assistive technology and job placement services to individuals with visual impairments.
