Chippewa Trails has provided transportation services to residents of Chippewa Valley, Wis., for more than 100 years. It started as a livery stable, and horse and buggy operation, and through the years has provided local bus and cab service. The company s operations are in three segments: trucking, school buses and motorcoaches. Chippewa Falls Trucking operates semi reefer operations and quad-axle dump trucks. Chippewa Yellow Bus Company division operates nearly 60 school buses on 116 school routes. The division transports more then 4,000 students twice per day in one of the largest school districts in Wisconsin. Chippewa Trails Tours is the charter and tour division. It represents nearly two-thirds of the company s business. In addition to conventional charter service, it offers prepackaged tours to the general public and travel consulting assistance to groups. Casino and sports tours are the most popular, as well as shopping tours to the Mall of America. Chippewa Trails Tours has a fleet of 12 coaches.
