Provided by YP.comWas discriminated against at this store because of my disability. On Saturday, September 3 I entered this store with my medical alert service dog. State and Federal laws grant me access to all public stores and facilities with my service dog in order to assist me with my disability, but the owner of this store tried to deny me access. I tried to explain that my dog was a service dog, he was wearing a vest and was clearly labeled as such. The owner asked for papers for the dog to prove it, which is not a question he can legally ask me. I offered him a copy of the law which he refused to read. He then proceeded to follow me and my mother around the store in order to make sure I did not get "drool on the merchandise". As I was being harassed in this store, a man entered with a pet dog in his arms and was graciously welcomed by the owner. Because of the nature of my disability, I cannot lift my service dog nor should I have to in order to gain access into any public store. I am very upset at this breach in my civil rights and will be taking action by reporting this store to the Department of Justice and the ADA.
