DWA Aluminum Composites is a small business specializing in the manufacture of powder metallurgy based DRA semi-finished and finished wrought products based on extrusion, rolling, forging and other deformation processes. Primary material systems include aluminum alloys reinforced with silicon carbide particulate at different volume loadings. Vacuum hot-pressed DRA billets are produced as large as 1,000 pounds for commercial production and as small as 8 pounds for experimental characterization and prototyping. From these billets, DWA manufactures standard product forms, products to meet customer s specifications and provides product design services. The company s Chatsworth, Calif., facility is capable of producing more than 150,000 pounds of DRA billet annually.
