The Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, Inc was established as a private, non-profit agency in 1991. The Center's mission is to serve children who are victims of abuse through prevention, education and intervention. We help victims become children again and lead normal, healthy, productive lives, thereby breaking the cycle of abuse. Last fiscal year, the Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, Inc conducted 403 forensic interviews, offered 321 counseling sessions to 50 children, provided 225 medical examinations, assisted 294 non-offending families through our family advocate program and presented prevention education programs to over 10, 000 children in the Chattanooga area. Over the last five years, the Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, Inc served nearly 2, 000 abused children from 22 countries in southeast Tennessee. Our Mission The Children's Advocacy Center is dedicated to serving children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse through prevention, education and intervention. All programs and services are offered completely free of charge for as long as the client needs the service. Approximately 70% of the Center's budget comes from local, state, federal and private grants. The other 30% of the operating budget is provided through the generosity of private individuals, organizations, corporations and foundations, who provide funding not only to child victims but for our prevention education program as well.
