Great food, fun staff at the grill. Good place to take a crowd - we had 40 for after rehearsal party. Private room was very nice - made the night special. Very reasonable prices !!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Walked in and choose dine in instead of hibatich bar since the wait was long. Got put at a table in the corner with both chairs facing the wall. After 20 minutes of no one coming by to get our drink orders or anything we finally just got up and left. Not happy at all and will never be back. End up going to chili's down the road instead.

Food was very good, but service was very poor. Will not be recommending this shoguns to anyone!! I've eaten at several shoguns and this was by far the worst!

This place was such a disappointment. Stopped in earlier to pick up a menu, found the inside so welcoming, water fountain bubbling,waitresses in kimonos,so colorful, attentive, and so helpful with my questions about times, reservations,food,even got a small tour to see the cooking tables . Really excited about this as a place for our evening meal. Arrived at 8:15pm, went in and waited by hostess desk for 15 minutes, while we watched several waitresses rolling up their long kimono sleeves, talking, even after several looked our way. After one of the cooks saw us he said something to the manager, who was SO busy working or playing on his lap top, he finally came over and took us to our table. The waitress, though attentive was NEW, and had to go ask someone about the food, drinks, and other questions that we had about preprations of our food. Didn't have the containers for our speciality drinks. When the cook arrived he started out great but after he broke an egg accidently, he got down to business cooking our meal and then he was done in 15 minutes with not a word being spoken to anyone except to check on our food that wasn't all there with the other patrons food. Would be a wonderful place to have an authenic Japanese dinner, if there was someone who knew how to manage a restaurant. We are a couple that dine out 3 to 5 times a week and expect more from a upscale restaurant, we will not be returning to this establishment.
