Provided by YP.comThis is a Wonderful practice! Have been going here for years and highly recommend. I use it for the concierge service, my parents and brother do not, but we all equally love them.

Provided by YP.comDon't believe the negative comments posted for Dr. Atwood. He is an awesome doctor and has treated my family for 25 years. When my parents first started with his practice he went back to school at night and on weekends so he could learn how to treat my Mom's thyroid condition. Later he went above and beyond his call to take of my father when he was diagnosed with lung cancer and was even present at his funeral. If it weren't for him and his staff we would have never known my Mom had leukemia. Her specialist had known for a year and because my Mom couldn't pay the $40 copay they never called her to tell her. A YEAR!!! He also takes care of my daughter, my brother and his family and guess what? We are all still living. The reason he may not take a Medicare patient is because Medicare limits the amount of patients a primary physician can see also how would you like to spend an hour with someone and get paid $20.27? I work for a doctor and that is what Medicare pays us per patient... To address the test after test comment. Thank your insurance company for that one. They set the guidelines on how a doctor can proceed with HIS patient. That's why you can't be seen for more than one ailment at a time. THEY (insurance) want to tell the doctor how to treat HIS patient. Its unbelievable, yet we allow it because we have to have health coverage. Don't fault the doctor unless you have read his contract with the insurance company...

Provided by YP.comDr Atwood has a very professional practice. I left past doc due to hours of waiting. Here, I get in on time every time, I very much appreciate that. Also Dr Atwood listens and has always solved whatever problem I have had. I see someone has a 'referral' problem and at various rating sites harasses the Dr. Dont believe them, Dr A may refer if needed but that is the state of medacine today.
Overall, very happy to call Dr Atwood our family doctor!

Provided by YP.comI called for an appointment only to find out that they will not take Medicare patients even though I also have B/C Anthem. Don't quite understand that but...I hear they are real good physicians.

Provided by YP.comHe's one of those sneaky big business types. He has enough medical knowledge to use it to his financial advantage, ie: more test, more visits, more referals =still more followups, unnessary tests=more followups, more procedures=more followups. I left him to find a doctor that loved medicine more than money or the game

Provided by YP.comBoth Dr Atwood and Dr DeGusseman are two of the best doctors around. They have a modern office with old fashion style of care. Their staff is competent and well trained yet you feel like family. Most of the staff knows you name without looking at the chart. I can only hope that the insurance companies do not mess with his practice and timing of each visit. Keep up the good work everyone.
