Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Shah graduated from Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, formerly known as the Pravara Rural Medical College, in India. He obtained degrees, in medicine and in surgery, before joining the Family Medicine Residency Program at Wayne State University, in Rochester, MI. An active member of the medical staff at Chesapeake Regional for nearly two decades, Dr. Shah is a member of the Community Faculty at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he serves as a precept and mentor for medical students. He has served as medical director for several nursing homes and hospice centers in Hampton Roads and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
