Used to be one of my favorite restaurants, yesterday 6/12/13, Mother's Day the service was nothing to be desired. I ordered by mistake a different dish than I wanted. When I brought it to the attention of management his response was "read the menu closer next time". Needless to say there are many Mexican restaurants that serve killer margaritas. I'm in search now of a new favorite.

Love the food, love the service & love the grande margaritas!!!

I am out of state and come to Chesapeake, Virgina about once a year. I have been going to El Loro for probably 15 years and have always liked their food but tonight I have to say it was not very good. Service was great and prices aren't bad but I have to say, the food wasn't that flavorful. iIt reminded me a lot of microwave style freezer Mexican food. I doubt I will be back. Not at all like the El Loro that I remember.

Fantastic!!! Fast, friendly service with really good food. I would definitely recommend this place.

I have been going to El Loro ever since I was in 7th grade and that was in 1999. So its been 9 years. The great thing about El Loro is that the food is still great. Terrific waiters and waitresses. El Loro your still great.
