Bought some Rib Eye Steaks for tonight's dinner and boy were they nice and tender. At a cost of $6.50 per steak. At this price I can do steaks more often for my crowd.

This place was amazing. The outside looks discouraging, but once you are inside the customer service is excellant as well as the meat selection. I usually drive 30 minutes to the closest commissary just for meats because no one could beat their prices. This is until Now. I will be buying my meat only from southern Packing from now on. Based on todays prices I got 20lbs of short ribs for 60.00 and 3 whole chickens cut by butcher for 5 dollars each. In total I spent 81.00. Totally worth every penny. They are also 1.50-2.00 under regular stores for ground beef. That alone is worth it.

I delivered some cargill and decided to purchase some of they're wares...old coots barbeque sauce, which is in the slow cooker for tonite with some country style ribs, and they're real thick sliced bacon...had some with eggs the other nite...AWESOME!! Wish i could mail order, like omaha steaks, i want some more and don't know when i'll be back there!! SOUTHERN PRIDE UP NORTH!! YUMMMMY!!!

Beats the commissary in price and some of the best steaks ever. 40 one inch new york strips directly from the block for 73 dollars. 2 1/2 eggs for 4 bucks, biggest chickens quartered ever, 8 lbs of ground beef for 12 bucks. They also have prime rib and filet mignon.
