Brazilian Jui-Jitsu is a derivative of Judo and Japanese Ju Jutsu. It uses principles of leverage and proper technique to allow a smaller, weaker person to defend themselves against a bigger, stronger person. One of the main factors that differentiate Brazilian Jui-Jitsu from many other traditional martial arts is the focus placed on free sparring or "randori". By eliminating many of the potentially fatal attacks used by other arts, Jui-Jitsu is able to be practiced against an opponent at as close to full speed as possible in training. Our Programs: Kids BJJ-We are most excited about our kids program. Our focus will be to instill values, build self-confidence and discipline, assisting parents in their child's development. Adult BJJ-Whether you are interested in self-defense, fitness or sport Jui-Jitsu, you have come to the right place. I have been to many of the local BJJ/ MMA gyms around the Hampton Roads area and this gym by far is the best in all of the 757 area and if you guys haven't found a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym then I highly recommend Tidewater BJJ. The teachers are awesome and very technical. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is serious about training BJJ or just looking to get in shape, this gym is the place to be!!

Everything about Tidewater Eye Center is personal and professional. The staff was helpful in answering my questions about the procedure as well as how tackle it financially. I met the doctor that would would perform the surgery and didn't feel rushed through the process at all. I look forward to getting back to the office for my procedure!

The best

After having appointments at 2 other eye centers in the area, I know there was such a difference in the way I was treated at Tidewater Eye Center. They took the time to answer all of my questions, and I even got to meet the doctor the day of my free consult. I feel SO blessed to be able to have such great vision now!! They will always be my number one recommendation to friends and family!
