Provided by YP.comI'm not a Unity person in any sense but I wanted to learn more about the unusual "new thought" perspective of this church, which is not a place where Jesus is worshipped at all, but rather one where Jesus' teachings are supposedly put into practice. Interesting distinction! (Jews who reject idolatry will be less offended by visiting this church than they would by visiting more traditional churches such as Southern Baptist churches, etc. Idolatry occurs when you take something or someone who is not God, such as Jesus, to be God.) The minister is terrific and I've heard two excellent guest speakers there. The services are wonderful. Unfortunately, it is almost all just talk. Very few of the people who regularly attend this "church" are putting into practice the teachings of the church. New people should expect to hear something extremely interesting in the service, but to be cold-shouldered afterward. I've been there several times and had this same experience every time. I finally realized I could get the most out of the place by not trying to interact with anyone other than those who have official positions such as ushers and ministers (all of whom do a fine job).
