Provided by YPmobileTwo friends and I were shopping here, and when we got to the register, the manager demanded nastily, "where are they?!" and held up a box of tylenol. We were confused. Then she demanded, "You need to lift your shirts, NOW!" I didn't comply because I thought it was crazy, especially as there were 4 other customers in line, but my friend was scared, and lifted her shirt. "Higher!" The manager demanded, making her lift her tank top OVER HER BREASTS! Then she said to me, "I'm definitely going through your purse!" I said "That's fine, but we need to go somewhere more private." This was a mistake, as after after we went through my purse, my wallet was gone. I offered to buy the box of tylenol after her repeated requests to lift my shirt, and I was really short on time, as we had stopped there to get refreshments in the middle of moving. She said, "ok, yeah, let's just do that." When I looked in the box of tylenol, nothing was actually stolen out of it, someone had just opened it. She didn't even count them before accusing us of theft. After repeated calls to the store asking about my wallet, and her telling a different story each time, I called the police to ask if it had been turned in. It was never turned in to the department, but when I requested an officer to come by to file a police report, one of the officers who hangs out there and gets freebies came swaggering up my sidewalk holding my wallet. He said he got it from the manager at this 7-11, and then threatened me with arrest and tried to get me to incriminate myself regarding the supposed theft. When I looked in my wallet, a prescription for a schedule 2 narcotic (I have spinal problems) and 2 gift cards were missing. I informed him that I still needed to file a police report, and he tried to walk away, saying to me, "I only investigate CRIMES." My mother then said "It is a crime! It's a felony to possess or steal a controlled substance prescription!" He turned white and went to his car...I had to follow him to his car and ask "so when will my police report be ready? Or do I need to go to the station to file it?" Only then did he agree to turn a report in. I can't prove this, but I highly doubt he was investigating this "shoplifting" under any official capacity...I think his buddy the 7-11 manager asked him to handle it for her. I called 7-11's corporate offices and told them the whole thing and they were horrified and apologetic. They said the owner (it's a franchise) would be calling in a few days to try to rectify things and that the manager is the owner's mother. Well, it's 3 weeks later...no calls from her. I've tried calling but the owner is "not in". The police officer told me I am banned from there and will be arrested if I go there so I can't even go to try to speak to the owner. I guess all I can do is write reviews on every site and tell everyone I know what happened and to PLEASE not support this business. It could happen to you, too...
