This place is a real dump on the outside and it gets worse when you get inside. The staff is rude and is constantly trying to intimidate their customers and make them feel like they don't know what they are doing. I am former military and have been shooting since I was a kid. I've probably put more rounds down range that any 3 or those guys put together. I'll drive a 100 miles to a good facility and use it even though they are just 3 or 4 miles down the road from me!

Be prepared to be treated like a P.O.S

Well, first off I am a respectful person and came in witj no intention other than to, buy a couple boxes off .45's and maybe go thru a box, as 30mins prior I picked up a new 1911-A1 and wanted to sight it in. I was never spoken too or acknowledged, until I placed 3-4 boxes of 50 rd PMC rounds on the counter. Then, a giant fat bearded man asked me, if I was shooting? I said, I have my gun on me, but just wanted to buy a couple boxes, until my online order came. He had his short fat arms crossed, and said you can only buy ammo, if you shoot on his range. I said OK. Then he said he had a group coming in, and only had 20 mins available, for full price. My money is the same color as theirs, and it should not be called a "sporting good store" rather a 7 booth, dirt parking lot Hillbilly range and ammo Nazi's. can't wait till C.P.D is gone and they lose their business. Know many Macomb County Sheriffs, and they hate the place. They don't...shoot there. Go eat some more Mayonaise out the tub, you cranky fat troll.

More concerned with trying to ...

More concerned with trying to up sell shooters on their classes than ensuring you have a good experience. They are also very worried about people accidentally damaging their range to the point of threatening to fine customers after a round of shooting. It's obvious some inaccurate shooters visit this range but if they don't know you then you're a suspect even if you are a safe and respectful customer. Won't be going back.

EvilGreenRobots, The owners of Brown Bear Sporting Goods want to apologize to you for having a bad experience at the range. We were unfortunately, tied up with a partner that did not agree with our views of range management at the time of your visit. We have since acquired sole ownership and believe if you do come back (and we hope you will) to visit us, you will have a much more relaxed and enjoyable time. We understand how valuable a person’s time is these days. There will not be solicitation on the range. If YOU have any questions regarding guns, ammo, classes, or anything in the store feel free to ask us. Once again, we are sorry for your bad experience. Owners of Brown Bear Sporting Goods, Inc.
