On Monday, September 10, 2018 I called I.W.R. to make an appointment to have an estimate on repairing some wood rot on a couple of windows and some wood siding under my patio door wall. The earliest appointment they could give me was for Monday Oct. 1, 2018 between 12-2 pm. (3 weeks later). I agreed to this time and date although I thought it was a long time to wait.

It was raining on the scheduled appointment date and I received a call from the salesman that he did not want to work in the rain, He told me that the office would call me in a few minutes to reschedule. After waiting several hours and no call to reschedule, I made the call to reschedule. Of course I was put on hold by Becky for a long period of time. When she did pick up, she told me the earliest new appointment I could get was for Monday, Oct. 15, 2018. I thought that was absurd since they were the ones that cancelled. Becky told me they could not cancel someone else to accommodate me even though I had made my appointment 5 weeks earlier and still no show! I reminded her that I wasn't the one who did not keep the appointment, but I agreed to reschedule for Mon. Oct. 15, 2018 between 2-4 pm.

Guess what? Today is Monday Oct, 15, 2018 and it is 5:19 pm and NO CALL and the salesman never showed up. My opinion...…..Terrible way of doing business...………….best not to waste your time with a company that is inconsiderate and fails to keep TWO appointments!!

Never Again!



Not good at all.



The job I hired them for entailed replaced exterior wood trim and painting. Pretty minor work. They were not the cheapest by the way so I went based on the amount of years they've been in business.



First of all customer service is non existent. It all started when scheduling a date for the wood replacement. I took the day off of work to be at my home to meet the crew on a Friday morning between 7-11AM and no one showed up. I called and left a message and finally received a call back. They apologized and told me they'd knock off $50 the job and a crew would be out the next day to take care of both wood replacement & wood). The next day a 2 man crew showed up and they didn't have enough materials or some of the paint and left the job without completing it. In looking at the workmanship it was noticed wood was replaced that didn't have the proper rough side exposed and not aligned properly.



It took many calls and verbal arguments trying to get someone back out to fix the what was done and complete the job (IWR was claiming I took the crew off the job on that Saturday and they could have completed it...???. I also left messages twice to the owner Matt Cipriano who never even called back or had someone call on his behalf. After much effort to get someone to help they finally had Nate (original IWR sales rep) who came out who acknowledged the wood trim in many areas was not installed properly and rescheduled a wood replacement crew. That took time to get scheduled and they came out and did the wood replacement repairs. I had shared with the crew that came out to do the work about my frustrations and how poor the customer service was and that the owner never called. They said they were short staffed and the owner is disengaged as he is opening a restaurant and not as focused on IWR.



I then had to go through similar struggles to get a paint crew back out at the home. After several weeks I finally got someone scheduled. Work was done poorly and there was still some wood repair and paint required. He told me Nate was made aware and someone would be out soon. I made the error then of making a payment on the majority of the balance after I was assured by Mark someone would be out at the house to complete the work ASAP.



After calling daily and leaving messages and speaking to Julie several times after hitting zero at the main prompt, I was transferred to another sad excuse of customer service who argued with me and hung up the phone. The end result is I will be moving forward to find someone other than IWR to complete the job.



I would avoid IWR completely. They have been in business many years but based on their service & how they treat customers, I would find it hard to believe they'll be around long term.



The strange thing is there was more business I would have given them if they did a good job as I had them quote a replacement door wall and I own rental properties that could use some wood & window repair.

Will never use again

This company did merely a patch up job and in the process they broke my window seal and claimed no responsibility for it, they also broke the hinge that keeps the window from sliding down when it's open, therefore the deemed it useless especially in the summer. A waist of money, if I had to do it again I will opt for a new window instead.

Both the appraiser and the workers were on time and courteous. The repairs were made as expected. However, the workers did not use tarps and left a layer of sawdust and debris on the deck and furniture, and also quite a bit of wood chips and other debris inside basement window wells - all which could have been avoided using tarps. It took a good 45 min. to hose down deck/furniture and clean out window wells after the work was done. A complaint was made to the company by phone and we were asked to submit our complaint via email. It has now been near two months, and the company has not bothered to respond, even after a second email requesting a response (after about a month of no reply).

With this lack of customer service, one can only anticipate major problems dealing with this company should there be issues with the work performed.

I would therefore not recommend using this company, but rather look for businesses with proven customer service both before, during and AFTER work is performed.
