I had several tall rotten deck support posts replaced by Chesterfield Fence and Deck in early November. The crew showed up on the arranged day, without posts long enough to complete the job. They were professional about it, and were able to return later the same day after obtaining new posts. The crew was excellent, and were very personable. Post installation looks great overall.



The only problem is that at the end of the day, we were told that someone would be back to remove the cardboard concrete tubes and temporary support structure in a few days, once the concrete had a chance to cure. Unfortunately, it has been 6 weeks, and nobody has returned to complete the job. Rainwater was collecting inside the cardboard tubes and soaking the new brackets and posts - exactly the reason to replace the posts and add above-grade concrete pillars in the first place. A phone call did not get a return call from the installers. I ended up removing the cardboard tubes and temporary supports myself - not what you expect when you pay a few thousand dollars to have posts replaced professionally.

We had a deck and stone patio put in by Chesterfield Fence and Deck. It was very expensive, but we wanted it done right (haha). The maintenance free decking is wavy. The patio was replaced twice because the people laying it didn't know what they were doing and then they were fired. Now, the wall between the two stone columns is sinking and the patio is sinking in places also. I have made numerous calls and haven't heard back until about 3 weeks ago. A guy came out to look at the issues we are having because the "stone guy" wasn't going to make it. That was a Friday. On the following Monday they both came out and looked at the patio and I haven't heard from them since. It's been a good 3 weeks. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and they have not been true to their word. Sigh, I guess we will have to have it re-done in a couple years (when it falls over) when we can afford it.

I am 100% satisfied with the team at Chesterfield Fence & Deck. From the intial design to the completed deck and patio, they did a great job and finsihed the project ontime. The new deck and patio has extended our livable space at our home and we are very excited for the Spring and Summer to get here.

Chesterfield Fence and Deck is great at first, but when your project is finished, and you're upset about the completion of your project don't rely on Chesterfield Fence and Deck to come out and make it look good. I had a fence put in and I was upset about the gate I called Chesterfield F&D and they told me I had to deal with my sales person, so I called him up and till this day my gate is not fixed and they will not call me. I even had the owner call and try to tell us a resolution to the getting the gate fixed he told us he would come out and look at it. Did he NO, and every time I called to talk to him he was on vacation or we had to leave a message because they could not give out his number. So, if you are plannign to use Chesterfield F&D make sure when they are ready to leave everything looks good, otherwise you are basically left with what you have. When they collect your money they want nothing else to do with you.
