Jane Gelfand, DO, is an experienced, board-certified Family Medicine Physician. Dr. Gelfand earned her medical degree from Midwestern University ' Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency at MacNeal Hospital in Chicago, IL. Patients ages 13 and above can visit Dr. Gelfand for all primary care needs, including annual wellness exams, vaccinations, sports physicals, nutrition counseling, women's health and chronic disease management. Dr. Gelfand provides services such as osteopathic manipulative treatments, contraception counseling, IUD insertion, skin biopsies, cryosurgery and more. 'I enjoy putting together the pieces of the puzzle to get to the root cause of my patients' symptoms, says Dr. Gelfand. 'I also love teaching and educating my patients on nutrition and steps they can take to prevent and manage chronic illness.' A St. Louis native, Dr. Gelfand enjoys providing primary care in her hometown. 'I chose family medicine because I always envisioned treating the whole person. I enjoy participating in the care of a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and age groups. It is an honor to participate in a person's healthcare journey.
