A once upon a friend gave my dog to this Pets Second Chance while I was in the hospital for kidney failure and told her I was dead! I tracked down my dog and told this "lady" at Pet second chance that i was indeed alive, however she refused to give me back my dog and even went as far as to say that she had x-rays done on MY little corgi and long story but I begged her to let me see my dog, my husband had just passed away not long before all this and I had no family in the state, she refused. I took her to court and OMG I lost! So it seems in the state of Missouri, you can take a dog, claim it as your own and as long as your husband is a retired police chief, you can get away with anything you want!!!
