Fire and Emergency Medical Service is a provider of public safety services and operates more than 20 fires and over nine rescue stations. The department serves a population of more than 299,000 citizens. It offers a wide range of services, including preparing families for natural and man-made disasters and other emergencies. The department s plans review section is responsible for performing a review of all plans for new construction and renovation of commercial and multifamily residential buildings to assure the fire protection and life safety provisions.
