Provided by YP.comThe most disappointing service I have ever received from a veterinarian. I took my bird in to trim his beak twice here. The first time, they trimmed his beak and ran a droppings test on him without my authorization. Instead of a ~ $25 charge, I ended up paying $75. I was surprised with the charge, but my bird was slightly sick, so I accepted it this time.
For the next visit, my bird was perfectly healthy and all I requested was a beak trim. Dr. Pappas came to my car to take my bird, where I specifically confirmed, "Just the beak trim today, right?" She said "Yes." Another lady came back with my bird and the charge: $75! I was distraught. When I asked what the charge was for, they stated that they had to run another test on him as part of protocol.
I was in a rush so I decided to leave and call back to settle things later. When I called, the secretary stated that we do not do refunds. I stressed that I was a college student with not much income at the moment and I did not permit or ask for any testing to be done. They didn't seem to care and I never got a refund.
To top it all off, my bird has been very sick recently and I struggled to find a vet during the holidays. Out of desperation, I called them to schedule an appointment. But get this, the secretary told me that in the system, the doctor marked down that she will not see me again due to the last 2 visits. All I did was call to try and get my justified refund for a test that I did not authorize after the second visit. Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not see myself in the wrong here. Matter of fact, I should be getting a free appointment due to the $100 I was robbed of. It is clear that the service here is mainly concerned about income and could not care less about a pet's well being and the social determinants of the owners seeing them. Not only would I not recommend this vet to anyone, but I discourage them to support her unethical practice. Quite possibly the worst service I ever received.
