The short review is: No matter what you say to do with your pet, the owner Karen Kaiser will do exactly what she wants whether you like it or not. While IâÂÂm saddened to say, though the employees at Best In Show are wonderful, the owner unfortunately has quite an aggressive manner about her. During my experience with her, I thought she was just a disgruntled employee and that I would speak to the owner later. Unfortunately she turned out to be the owner and I understand if something cannot be done, you turn the client away respectfully. But that did not happen. The long review: Our family has a Shitzu Dog (but we think she's people). We don't have a lot of experience with dogs in general but researched this breed for our family and she was a perfect fit. She is about 8 months old and we had her trimmed regularly but were growing her hair out to some point that we were still figuring out. We brush her out 3 times a week and never had any problem until a month ago. She got a little too long and had static. Unfortunately, she got matted. We took her pig tail out and worked thru the knotted area over a short lunch. So we knew there was hope. I called one of the groomers⦠the nice gal said keep working on her the best we can and we will work with you next week on a plan. Today 2/5/15 was that appointment. I walked in and STARTED to asked for a plan of action from Liz, which has always been wonderful and knows how much we love Scout, to be interrupted by some aggressive employee. Karen (the owner said)..... that she will be cut down to no more than an inch and she will not allow me to put this dog in pain just to be pretty (by the way, I was telling Liz something different and Karen was with another client and did not hear the whole conversation). Karen also informed me that this dog cannot be in the snow, on the couch, or rolling around on the floor. Honestly I was shocked at how threating she was. I told Karen this dog will not be shaved and I don't expect Liz to get all the knots out. Just cut her body no less than an inch (hopefully longer) and do the best you can and we will work with the knots. Poor Liz did reassure me they will leave her as long as possible and I left. Well...put it this way, they kindly asked for payment before they brought her out. And yes I tipped 20% before I saw her. I kind of new something was up when Liz was reassuring me how cute she was before they brought her out. On her body I am sure there is somewhere she is an inch and half long hair but pretty much she went from being a fluffy fur ball to sleek...EEEK......The problem is... According to the previous conversation I had with Karen, I suspect, she directed exactly what she wanted instead of calling me saying sorry we cannot achieve what you are after...... On the fair side...I asked Liz to only trim her pigtail/ head area and not to cut her tail and that was respected. I have lost trust in "Best in Show." I feel I should have been turned away if what I ask for was not achievable. I was willing to do many other things first before this drastic measure.

A fantastic grooming service. They love the pets and it shows in the grooming. The shop is clean and smells good, always has. In 15 years our Maltese never came home with fleas or other problems.

I have lived in Cheyenne for 6 years and 5 of those we have taken our Persian cat and Pik with no complaints. In fact, they provide the cut you ask for and our cat is never traumatized.

I read the "Terrible customer service" review and almost called and cancelled but I am SO glad I never. I don't know who wrote but I do remember that it is impossible to please everybody. I am really pleased with the way my Little Miss Molly XI looks, really show dog quality and this place deserves a good review. Maybe they did miss it ONCE but NOT this time. GREAT customer service at the counter and the ladies that groomed Molly were friendly, business professionals. I plan on returning with Molly in 7 weeks for good up keep, which I was told they would give me a reminder call which is great because it isn't always what's on my mind. Molly liked them also tangling one with her leash and jumping at her for attention. Affordable and competitive in pricing.

This business makes up it's own hours... it doesn't take into consideration that most people and can't just randomly leave work to run unplanned errands. Their hours of operation are from 7:30 to when ever they are done.. which you might think is 4:00 or 5:00, Nope.. you would be wrong. I set a specific time to pick up my puppy and they started calling me three hours before that time, demanding that I come right now to pick him up. I let them know that I would try to find someone to come pick our pup up, they call four times within thirty minutes. They wanted to go home for the day, mind you that this was at 11:00 am. I left work and went and got him. He did look nice, however their business practices are so horrible that I will never go back again. So bottom line.. If you can sit around and wait for their call and then come running immediately, don't bother with this Groomer! And by the way, they are smokers too! The whole shop smells like wet puppy and smoke.
