Make sure your acupuncturist is actually a properly trained acupuncturist that has graduated from an acupuncture college. There are many non-acupuncturists in Cheyenne that are holding themselves out to the public as properly trained acupuncturists and they are NOT. The licensing of acupuncture in Wyoming was unsuccessful at weeding out these fakes. They include chiropractors, physical therapists (performing "dry needling") and those that say they have completed an "apprenticeship". The only REAL acupuncturists and the only ones you should see as a patient are those that have graduated from an accredited acupuncture college and have passed the national board examinations. All these other FAKES do not meet the minimum basic standards for education and the safe and effective practice of acupuncture.
