Provided by YP.comCalled to inquire if they do appraisals and the man on the phone was Very rude. He cut me off and said there was no market for my item and hung up on me. I wouldn't even give 1 star.

Provided by YP.comWhen we began construction of our 1921 french eclectic home we kept many of the original pieces. Working with an architect and general contractor we were struggling to find light fixtures that truly meshed with the homes character. On the recommendation of a friend, "there is this antique store on Belmont in the city", we decided to venture to Antique Resources. Here is where we finally found the pieces and advice that we needed to "light" our new home. The staff here are fabulous, very knowledgeable and truly take pride in the work and products that they sell. We bought fixtures and also had numerous fixtures restored by Antique Resources. Though our project is coming to an end and we only have one fixture left, which will require another trip to the city, We only have praise for this business and would highly recommend. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about his products and you can be assured that you are getting a fair price and quality piece. Thank You Antique Resources!!

Provided by SuperpagesGreat for rich snobs...just like the man who answered the door! I told the man who answered the doorbell, what I was looking for. He told me the price range...$1,000 to $2,000. He said very snottily and condescendingly, "We only have REAL antiques, not second-hand used things". Gee, I thought all antiques are second hand and used. I felt like he was judging me because I guess I wasn't wearing my designer clothes that day. I would never go to his store again. He made me feel like a serf to his king. Ugh!

Provided by SuperpagesThe merchandise is top quality at the best prices in town. However, it is a closed shop. Those unfamiliar with the concept will take offense (common in Europe). You need to tell them what you are looking for to be buzzed in. The owner is respected for the past 40+ years in the field for his integrity, honesty, and expertise, however, he is moody. I have shopped there for the past 5 years and have seen him depressed, cheerful, and easily irritated. I don't mind, because I don't take him home, I take the goods instead.
