Beasley Elementary School enrolls more than 1,400 students in kindergarten through grade eight. Also known as the Beasley Academic Center, its curriculum includes math, science, foreign language, technology, performing arts, and physical and special education. The school maintains a library and transportation and guidance departments. Beasley Elementary School offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, softball, cheerleading and volleyball for boys and girls. The school operates chess, black knights and peer helpers clubs, as well as a student council. In addition, Beasley Elementary School administers the English Language Learners program and organizes several events. It is a part of Chicago Public Schools, which governs various elementary and high schools.
