The Carole Robertson Center for Learning is a multicultural nonprofit partnership that is dedicated to nurturing, supporting and strengthening family life through child, youth and family development programs. The center serves Chicago families and facilitates community advocacy on child and family issues. The agency was established in 1976 by parents and community residents who rallied to save their local child care program when its sponsoring agency closed due to financial difficulties. The center operates nearly 15 hours each day from three sites that offer a variety of programs and serve communities of urban Chicago. Programs include infant toddler development, Head Start, early childhood education, family childcare home network, school age programs, tutors and mentors, youth alternatives program, family literacy development, family health and support, community social services and a center for adult learning. The Carole Robertson Center for Learning is located in Chicago.
