Carver Military Academy is an educational institution that provides leadership opportunities for cadets. The academy has an enrollment of more than 450 students in grades 9 through 12. It offers before- and after-school programs. Carver Military Academy organizes a variety of sports activities that includes softball, cross-country, football, wrestling, and track and field. The academy is a part of Chicago Public Schools, which governs various elementary and high schools. Its schools conduct classes in art, math and science. The district s schools also offer gifted and enriched academic programs for children with special needs. Chicago Public Schools provides a home schooling program for parents and legal guardians of children between the ages of 7 and 17.
