Farragut Career Academy, located in Chicago, was founded more than 100 years ago. It is affiliated with Chicago Public School, and serves the Little Village and North Lawndale communities in the city. The school offers a variety of cocurricular and educational programs to more than 2,000 students, and focuses on a curriculum that combines academic instruction with various work-study programs and vocational training. Farragut Career Academy offers education-to-careers clusters and Reserve Officer s Training Corps programs. The school also partners with several local businesses and other community organizations. Its facilities include an on-site community law clinic, and a health services center that was designed and built primarily by Farragut students.
