This former customer was recorded on our 24hour security cameras many times entering, exiting and accessing private areas of the facility away from his locker and also around other customer lockers, and was asked verbally and in writing to stop. We view this as jeopardizing the security of our customers’ belongings, for which they pay for, besides basic storage. We have not had a documented locker break-in under our ownership (since 2003). In the presence of Chicago police officers who were called due to the customer’s refusal to acknowledge or stop his activities, the customer was personally informed that his locker was being terminated on 9/13/12 and asked to remove all his belongings, which he agreed to do by 9/21/12. The customer vacated all his belongings on 9/22/12 and given a full refund of his September 2012 rent (no charges for the 22days), plus a security deposit. We contacted the reviewer privately, and also Yelp.com (citing the site's Terms of Use policy) before posting this public comment after a period of time, after he altered initial reviews, and kept misleading and false statements. The customer has changed his Username pseudonym and we believe he uses reviews to make false statements, uses inappropriate language, and is questionable for his intent and behavior through the posting of fabrications. We have also been informed directly by a current customer that an unsolicited email was received from the former customer referencing his review and the facility, and he has also posted false and abusive comments and reviews elsewhere. Customers are invited to come in and view letters, emails, etc. from happy and satisfied renters who are saving money by not paying for longer hours, etc. which they don't need, while still getting secure self storage (24hour security cameras and onsite personnel daily during business hours) . We received emails from the user that he has had some health and stress issues. We hope the reviewer has found a facility more suitable to his current needs and conditions.
