The Inner-City Teaching Corps, also known as ICTC, is a nonprofit education and service organization that serves children in the under-served areas of Chicago. Founded in 1991, the organization offers a selection of educational programs for urban youths and families. Its St. Malachy School is a Catholic educational institution that has an enrollment of more than 255 African American students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school provides a range of sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track and field. The Inner-City Teaching Corps offers a two-year teaching program that places recent college graduates as teachers in Chicago classrooms. In addition, the organization operates a family resource and learning center. Its UNITE program trains individuals in the field of teaching.
