They allow BAD criminals and BAD sex offenders work in this store.This Jewel-Osco is located in a boystown.This area is known to have the most aggressive gay men in Chicago.this area is bad and dangerous. It is very Unsafe to shop in this store so be careful.

This is a small Jewel and is usually pretty crowded. The produce selection isn't very good and is expensive. I try to go to the location on Broadway/Montrose if possible.

I love Jewel as they have low prices for a city grocery store. The biggest problem is that this location is so packed on the weekends and the isles are tiny so you are bumping into people the whole trip.



This store is good for:

pantry basics

inexpensive fresh flowers

kosher goods

dairy (always have extra stock in the back if it's out on the shelf...just ask!)

alcohol

red-box (they have two)

customer service items (cta passes and such)

parking (upstairs lot is huge and never full)

sales



This Jewel is not good for:

produce (especially organic)

bread

deli stuff
