Provided by YP.comI just had a 90,000 mile tune up, timing belt and water pump replacement on my 2000 Lexus at Precision Auto Repair. I was putting it off not only because of cost, but because it's just hard to find a mechanic that you can trust and who knows what they are doing. I got a quote from a couple other auto repair shops in the area and also the Lexus dealer and Anna at Precision gave me the most reasonable deal. It was 2/3 the cost of the dealer and he did much more than the dealer promised, esp. for the tune up part. I was treated with respect, communication was very straightforward and reliable AND, it was ready in one day. I will definitely go back and will recommend Precision Auto Repair in Chicago to others.

Provided by SuperpagesPrecision Auto Repair in Chicago have been taking care of my '03 VW Passat Wagon for the past two years, and I couldn't be happier. When the fuel pump DIED on hwy, they fixed it immediately and then called me two days later to say that VW had issued a recall and I'd get my money back. No better place to take your VW, and no better people to deal with on something as mundane as car maintenance and repair.

Provided by YP.comI was looking for a shop that can fix VWs. I have 2002 Passat and now and then I have to take it to a mechanic. I was at many different shops but this one stands out because they really know their stuff. For most of the time I took it dealer but recently I got pissed off when they charged me $350.00 and didn't fix anything. Precision auto Repair was recommended by a friend of mine that has a BMW and swears by them. They found and fixed the problem for $250.00. Last time I needed a timing belt and a water pump. The job was done in a one day and at a fair price. Place looks clean and people there are really nice. Precision Auto Repair is a sure thing.

Provided by YP.comI take my 2001 Audi A6 to Precision Auto Repair for service for two years now. They did my brakes (other shop messed them up), timing belt, water pump and emission problem. The service was always very good, fast and not too expensive. I get the feeling that they really know their stuff at Precision Auto. Another thing that I like is that they always answer my questions in a way I can understand so I know what is being done and why. Another thing about them is that they will warranty their repairs for a year and they say they refund your money or fix it for free if the car is not fixed the first time. It is important because at some other places and they would replace many parts and each time I would have to pay. One place I went to for check engine light they replaced my oxygen sensor then did tune up and the light was still on! I took it to Precision Auto Repair, they fixed some kind of hose that they said was off and guess what no light. I really like these guys very much. Thanks Precision Auto Repair. Barbara N.

Provided by YP.comI'm so happy with these guys that I decided to write review. A friend of mine recommended this place. I had a check engine light on and took my car to three guys already. They changed bunch of parts and I spent close to $800 with still the same problem. I almost gave up and wanted to trade the car in but with the money tight I could not afford a new car. These guys solved the problem in one day, explained to me what was wrong and what needs to be done. The problem bad ground on transmission stud cost me $95.00 and additionally they reprogram my engine computer for only $50! I drove the car for a week now and no check engine light and I can pass emissions now. Great service highly recommended.
