Saint Gregory the Great Church has been serving the Edgewater neighborhood since 1904. Beginning as a German parish, St. Gregory's has gone through many transitions throughout its history. It has welcomed and been home to a wide variety of immigrant and ethnic groups. Presently, St. Gregory's serves a diverse community in one of Chicago's most exciting and creative neighborhoods, Andersonville/Edgewater. St. Gregory's is a vibrant community that worships in one of Chicago's most exquisite churches. There are many organizations, activities and ministries through which the parish serves the mission of Christ. As our community continues to grow, we hope to expand our ministries and activities in order to better serve the mission that Christ has entrusted to us.
