Provided by YP.comI stayed at the Westin in Chicago this weekend 3/28/9. I have stayed at Westins elsewhere and enjoyed great service and accommodations. Unfortunately I didn't receive the same quality service in Chicago. We made reservations a month in advance and when we showed up at check in time our rooms weren't ready. They kept telling us they would be ready in fifteen minutes and the whole ordeal ended up taking two and a half hours just to clean two rooms. The whole time we waited in the lobby we watched other groups check in with no wait. When talking with the manager on duty to try to receive compensation for the poor service they acted insulted. When the rooms were finally clean the manager gave us our keys with a snotty attitude and didn't apologize or thank us for waiting. I was blown away by the treatment we received at such a well known high class hotel. We nearly ended up leaving for another hotel. I've never got treated this poorly at cheap hotels let alone at a hotel room that was over $250. Apparently you have to look like a rich person to be treated right. If you don't look fit the rich image you won't be treated like you matter to them. There is a Hampton accross the street save a hundred bucks and get a hotel that treats customers right.
