They have poor garbage and customer service. In the beginning they would forget to get our garbage occasionally. Just recently the weather was bad and they would not pick up our garbage. I understand that and expected them to come out the next day and pick it up. When it was not picked up I called them. They said they would not send out a driver to pick up our garbage. They told me I have to wait another week. I asked what am I to do with all this garbage my cans are full? He said I don't know, I asked for a credit since my garbage is not being picked up. He also said no. I can't believe how unprofessional this company is. They don't care about the customer or the services they provide. I promptly switched to a different company.

I had a previous bad review of Wigand, but I came back to improve it. I had to because they have really stepped up their game and are doing well for us. As we live in a very secluded area and had troubles, They gave us a great tip for keeping animals out of our trash and they have picked up on schedule for a full year now. Good Job Guys - Thank you for the improvement to service.

I have always gotten great service from this company and was treated well when I called them. I think the service is a little high compared to the other disposal companies but otherwise no complaints

(UPDATED: Just switched to Tomlinson. No start up fee (like wigand) and no extra charge of $10.00 to service Lacon (like Wigand)..... Switch... Tomlinson is CHEAPER.... $57 for 3 months as opposed to $70 +..)>>>>>Numerous complaints here: It's only been a year and we've have numerous opportunities to call them to remind them to pick up our trash. They SAY their maximum allowance allots for SIX trash cans of 32 gallon capacity or less. Okay... we have THREE of those cans.... and we had a few extra trash bags.... they leave the independent trash bags, take those in the cans... when we call.... apparently the trash man noted it was "full capacity".... (so... 3 vs 6)... well... this isn't the first time.... I think Tomlinson disposal from WASHBURN picks up here in Lacon. Screw Wigand. The rep who answers has been rude the entire time we've had them. They are NOT the only option here. Vote with your wallet on this one. I used to be Jerry Tomlinson's neighbor... he's always been respectful, friendly and I will be giving him a call to come pick up our trash.

I knew most of the garbage men back in 98 an they were great, now they suck. They drop garbage an leave it, they kick the cans back knto my yard while I watch, they charge you for anything they feel is extra an leave it sitting there. They have no respect for those who pay their wages! If there was another company available theyde loose 6 accounts. The office people are rude the owner who apparently doesnt care about his rep or the companies either. Its sad that businesses get away with this.

I read the other reviews of this business, but I have to say I've never had problems with the service like what the other reviewers report. During a recent incident where my garbage was not picked up, I called and was treated well by the office person.

I have had wigand disposal service for years. The new drivers they hire are idiots. We used to have a nice man who put the lid on and never made a mess, he even took a little extra refuse since he was nice, but for over a year a newer man has been picking up our trash and he makes a mess and has a bad attitude. When ive called to complain i talked to Denise..WOW..She has the worst attitude ive ever come across, a smart a**, and wouldnt help at all. She even suggested that maybe i caused the mess. Why would i destroy my own garbage can and dump trash that I cleaned up myself. They need to get some people in the office who care and arent arrogant. I eventually talked to her boss Larry wigand the owner. He was saying yep, yes before i was done talking, after talking with him i figured out why they have a horrible secretary because the boss is the exact same. It was such a nice company years ago, but i have come to believe they dont care bout there customers anymore. Hopefully Waste Management comes out to lake of the woods soon. I cant wait to go to that meeting with fellow nieghbors so we can see to it that they lose this contract. if you want some company to take your $$ with no real service then by all means use wigand disposal, If any other customers read this & are also living in lake of the woods, then you already know what i am talking about...

We had this disposal company for over 10 years. at first they were great, but the last few years they have tossed several garbage can lids of mine with the garbage, so we went to renting their dumpster. Took a month for them to come and replace it when the wheels fell off, so we had to drag it to the curb each week without wheels. Husband passed suddenly

Feb 1, and checking acct was in his name, so check bounced for the first time in all the years we have used them. I called and said I would send a new check as soon as I got a checking acct. in my name. Sent the check, our trash was not picked up for 2 weeks, so I called and they said they had shut off our account for non-payment. Never called to inquire where check was. Wouldn't you think a small company would call if check really wasn't received and we had been their customer for years and years? Their receptionist Denise is very smart-alecky and snappy, and will never deal with them again! My husband had talked to their driver for years, even gave them cold water occassionally, and not an "I'm sorry to hear of your husband's passing" or anythin from her. Also, I told her I had had cancer surgey and she was so cold and snippety. IF YOU LIKE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, THIS ISN'T WHERE YOU'LL GET IT!!!!!
