they are warm friendly happy Nurses and Aides until you make any negative comment or ask them to not do something or to do something differently (like put soiled diapers in a plastic bag not small waste basket reserved for tissues etc) once you open your mouth they change into sulky teenagers and God forbid you know something they do not, like when you run out of refills you have to call the doctor because the pharmacy no longer does that for you, which happened today and made me finally do this long overdue remark. I called the Hospice number and I usually speak to a person that actually knows their job and give them the name of the medication and have no problem but not today. I call and say I need to get a refill on my step father's meds because it is out and she says "are you the pharmacists?" I said no and she tells me to call the pharmacy so I tell her the pharmacy told me they don't do that anymore for me to call the doctor but maybe it is just for certain meds, I mean, she could say "Oh yes it is just for certain meds" and I would have said thanks and bye but her voice changed, got real "tight" and she said what is the name? I could just tell she was upset and that was not my intention, I am TRYING to take care of a dying man! The way they act in the home has changed but that is between them and MY MOTHER but I know how things can be and they should be professional at ALL times or find a different place to work.
