Tim Fries started in the investment business in 1994, working for Edward Jones in his hometown, St. Louis, MO. After a series of training programs and roles in headquarters, Fries attained the role of General Securities Principal and Branch Office Manager. In 1998, Tim and his wife, Marie-Christine, moved to Chippewa Falls to start a branch office for Edward Jones. Michele Kressin joined Tim in 2000, and they proceeded to build a profitable branch office. In 2004, they decided to start an independent firm offering securities through Raymond James. ​ Fries Financial Group was established in December 2004 and has quickly grown to become one of the largest independent firms in northwest Wisconsin. In 2005, FFG managed roughly $40 million in client assets. Today, Tim and his team manage nearly $400 million. Over that time, the team has grown from two to nine employees, including three lead Financial Advisors and three additional licensed operations associates. In 2015, Tim was honored to be included on the 2015 Financial Times Top 400*.
