I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the owner and staff for the time David has spent at Montessori Explorer School.



It has been a very enjoyable and educational experience for David. We have seen a lot of progress with our son – from development of his motor skills, his awareness of the world around him and his overall enjoyment of being part of the school.



The fact that the class size is limited has also been very helpful for him to transition into the routine of going to school.



David loved going to school each day and the information and learning he received was tremendous. He learned so much for his young age. The teachers are all AMS credentialed so that helped all the children because the teachers were specially trained to observe and understand each child. They knew when to introduce new lessons and they were very persistent in helping each child until they understood the concepts behind each lesson. When David mastered each lesson we could tell that he really understood that lesson. The reading program is exceptional and we were amazed to see young children 21/2 years beginning to read. The older children who were proficient readers had a very good comprehension of what they read.



David’s attendance at the Montessori Explorer school was good preparation for his next school – La Jolla Country Day School.

My son, Alexander, was two years old when he began attending Montessori Explorer, directed by Dinusha Perera. I originally put him in full-time as I went back to work for three months to help my husband out at his place of employment. I was so amazed at the knowledge that Alexander gained during his three months at Montessori Explorer until we moved out of state when he was four. I wasn’t ready to have him at school every day but I didn’t want to stop the progression of learning that my husband and I both saw in him. He was learning to love numbers, math, and geography, learning to read and making new friends. Alexander loved the school. Even when we were out at a social event and he saw his teacher, he would run up to her and give her a hug. Dinusha has a wonderful, gentle, kind manner with the children and my son really responded to her. Montessori Explorer gave my son an incredible start and love of learning new things. I was so impressed with the Montessori methods, that I enrolled Alexander in another Montessori school in Indiana where he continues to grow and learn at an advanced rate. I would recommend Montessori Explorer and Dinusha Perera to any parent who is looking for a warm, caring environment for your child to learn.
