I moved in and my town home smelled like dog and cat, was overrun by spiders, had a foul, brown liquid substance in the dishwasher, wouldn't allow for a hot shower more than 6 minutes long, and most of the windows would not open. I was told that there was not money to make the repairs. When I complained, I was told that I could move out but forfeit my deposit. This concession on their part came only after I got the health deparment involved



This is a common problem. My neighbors ceiling falls in every time it rains. Management would rather put bandaids on problems than fix them correctly. The bandaids in the long run cost more than a proper repair.



The apartment is being managed by a different company as of April/09 but they have had the same type of response as previous management. I requested pest control in March and didn't receive the service until the end of July.



Several other tenants including myself have had their rent in escrow for months on end.
