Dr. David Tapke received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, where he graduated with cum laude honors. After college, he developed an interest in public health after working as an AmeriCorps volunteer performing asthma education in the South Bronx of New York City. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He stayed in Chicago for a pediatrics residency at Rush University Medical Center and is board certified in pediatrics. He then completed a combined adult and pediatric fellowship in allergy and immunology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. Dr. Tapke practices at the Cincinnati Allergy & Asthma Center. Cincinnati Allergy & Asthma Center has been serving families in the greater Cincinnati area since 1960, when it was found by his grandfather, Dr. Joseph E Ghory. The practice was continued by his mother, Dr. Ann C. Ghory, and aunt, Dr. Patricia K. Ghory. Dr. Tapke is excited to join his cousin, Dr. Gordon E. Myers, as the third generation of allergists in our family to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
