I began seeing Jody Brennan, midwife, with my second pregnancy after having a difficult delivery of my first child 3 years earlier. My first experience left me terrified to give birth again, and my friend recommended that I use a midwife. THANK GOD I did. Jody, as well as the other midwives with Seven Hills Women's Health Center in Cincinnati, are nothing less than phenomenol! My second childbirth experience took place in the hospital and was soooo much better than my first. I was in labor for 35 hours, and went through 2 of the midwives during that time. They worked to prepare my body for delivery, including perineal massage and stretching. Needless to say, my first child weighed 7 lbs and I ended up with 3rd degree tears from front to back (Dr. delivery) and my second weighed 9 lbs and I had 2 stitches (CNM delivery). I continue to see the midwives for my annual visits and all my GYN needs. Personable, kind, take time with patients, comforting! FANTASTIC experience always!
