Provided by YP.comThe Talbert House is a half-way house. People (men) usually go to houses like these when they are released from prison. The idea is to help them integrate back into society and be a productive law abiding citizen. Non-violent offenders can also be sent here from different area counties including Montgomery and Greene in the Dayton, Ohio area. Attendance to certain programs is mandatory, however some of their programs are not run well and the ex-prisoners laugh and do not take the reason for the class seriously. The Talbert House can teach basic knowledge needed in society but only if the prisoner takes it seriously. Depending on the seriousness of the violation (i.e. smoking crack in dorms or runaways (both have occurred)) the detainee can be sent back to prison or back to the county judge to be sentenced to a correctional facility.
