Wonderful Wine & Awesome View

This is my favorite place to drink wine and watch the sun go down. Beautiful vineyard & restaurant and a great place to bring friends.

I love this place; good food, good people, and great wine. My wife and children love coming here as well and I bring my extended family when they are in town. I definitely recommend! I also like the events that they have because I like wine and good music. I've been to a couple of concerts on the hill outside and drink the wine. I like the Cincinnatus wine the best but my wife likes the La Dolce Vita, but I'll drink what she likes if we pick up a bottle but usually I like dry wines while she likes the sweet stuff.

This is one of Cincinnati's best-kept secrets. I know that Vinoklet had some employee problems a few years ago, but if you check out the reviews on Google and Facebook over the past couple of years you can see that they have turned things around and provide great service at a good price.

Be prepared you are going to cook your own food. A Unique Dining Experience

After reading the negative review about Vinoklet, I had to voice my opinion. For those out there that have to be waited on hand and foot, This is not the place for you. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table ( This is our fourth (4) visit ). We had a nice table o the veranda for four people. We mentioned to the waiter that the room was a little cold, next thing you know a heater. We went and had our wine tasting and each couple picked a bottle of wine ( Cincinnatus and Brother Joe). We sat and had a nice conversation and a couple of glasses of wine. I can tell you the place was very busy, several large parties going on, but still was very pleasant. We decided to go and get a salad and soup, the place is very clean and the salad was very fresh. I can tell you we all had the ceasar salad, along with the very tasty soup. After some more conversation we decided to head to get our entree. We had two (2) salmon, one (1) cod and one (1) NY strip steak. I can tell you the quality of the food was excellent. Yep, here it is folks, you have to cook the food yourself. It is cooked on a real wood fire, with all the seasonings that you could imagine. Now, I have been there before so I brought my own seasonings. For the salmon I had salmon seasoning and some Lemon Dill sauce that I poured over after cooking. The cod I cooked with butter and some real garlic that brought with me, and the steak I had my favorite steak seasoning. Now I can tell you I do like to cook at home and do all of the cooking in my house. The sides were real mashed potatoes, with real not frozen green beans, corn and hot bread. The deserts were not on plastic plates but on real china, and the offering was excellent. Now for $35.00 a person it is on the pricey side considering that you have to cook your own meal, and serve yourself. But I just want everyone to know this up front. I can tell you we visit Vinoklet once a year just to have a great meal with some good friends and family. The wine is excellent and the atmosphere is one of the best kept secrets in Cincinnati, And if you would like after dinner they have a fire outside to enjoy that last glass of wine. Now for me, I am a professional and I do have a college degree and live in a very nice house. Why do I mention this, because I do not like to be waited on hand and foot, and wait for someone to bring my meal to me. I would rather have a nice environment and cook my own meal with a nice glass of wine. Great people, great service a unique dining experience, Please give them a try if your are willing to grill your own food.
