My wife took our dog in on a Tuesday. Diagnosed as infection of the uterus. Treated with antibiotics. Was told the dog should feel better in a couple of days. If not schedule another visit. The dog did not improve. Called to schedule a second visit. This Vet did not work on Fridays. Referred to Emergency clinic Affiliated Emergency Vet Service. They diagnosed the dog with pyometra on Friday at the cost $800.00. Cost of surgery $2500 to $3600 with a 20% overcharge possible. Dog died Saturday AM. After research of the condition Pyometra. With the age of our pet (11 years) Pyometra should have been diagnosed on Tuesday and surgery should have been scheduled. Found out afterward. This Clinic does not perform that surgery. So why did they not refer us to someone that does? I do not recommend this Veterinary Clinic.
