I am a freight forwarder and work with AMASS often. They are a great company and the people there are very good. The negative comments I see below are from people who were ignorant of the import process and of the charges their import were subject to when it got to the US. Their China supplier didn't pay the Port of Long Beach charges or US warehouse that unloaded the container or the freight forwarder (AMASS) who has to organize the shipment so it gets processed. All of these services are done by a company / worker who is not paid by someone in China. The shipper did not warn their buyers of these fees - because they are in China and don't know US charges. These shippers ship to countries all over the world and cannot know each country's fees. Do not be afraid of AMASS. Be afraid of not knowing how to import. I saw one comment a guy was angry because he thinks cargo costs are based on the value of the goods. Hope he reads this someday - hey Genius, if that were true nobody would ship something only worth $ 200.00.

This company is a fraud/scam. Hidden charges, arrogant attitude, ridiculous negligence, no follow-up. Once payment was made, treat clients like shit. I can’t understand how this company can still be in business? STAY AWAY

I ordered and paid the many hundreds of dollars of shipping on a 300 pound small crate of farm supplies from China.

When it got here, AMASS INTERNATIONAL GROUP proceeded to continue to assess additional fees on my shipment as follows:

!!!THAT IS APPROXIMATELY $1 per pound OR $50,418.33 TO UNLOAD A SINGLE SHIPPING CONTAINER!!!

I can FLY over $100,000 of Sandisk memory chips back from China for nothing in my carry on baggage (I do pay US Customs).

AMASS INTERNATIONAL GROUP CHARGES OVER 20 TIMES what bananas cost to be unloaded and delivered to grocery warehouses!

Rip-off. Stay away if you like your money and bank account. They have charged me $2000 fee for a shipment that cost me $200 from China.
