I had an excellent experience buying my Carado Banff from Carolina coach and marine. I saw a vehicle I was interested in online. I called and spoke with Jimmy Allen, and was exceptionally impressed with his professionalism, courtesy and fairness. We negotiated a deal over the phone and I flew down to Charlotte from Boston. Considering that I was coming a long way to buy a vehicle site-unseen, Jimmy and Carolina coach and marine made the experience seamless and hassle free. Frank spent nearly 2 hours patiently going over every detail of the operation of my new vehicle. I met the folks in the service department and they were very helpful with getting things set up. I had questions on the way driving up and was helped by the very responsive service department. I was particularly impressed with the technical knowledge that Jimmy, Frank and other representatives of Carolina coach marine had of my vehicle - this seems to be a rare thing to find based on the experiences I had looking at other RV dealers. I highly recommend Carolina coach and marine.

Had some problems before, but these were addressed to my approval, and I now have my 5th wheel back.

So, my NEW RV was kept for numerous service issues for a duration exceeding 172 days, during the first year. Note that during this year, the RV was winterized and not being used for an additional 176 days. You can do the math. Issues ranging from minor to very major, most of which rendered the unit not usable were responsible. Obviously I complained since this scenario is not normal for any vehicle and through my experience, also not normal for any other brand of RV that I previously owned. While the RV included a 2 year warranty, the result of my complaint was for the dealer to refuse to perform additional warranty work on the unit. Therefore, after spending almost over $100,000 on the unit, the dealer refused to repair the RV! The RV (Crossroads product) is beautiful but contains so many serious issues that it is not available or SAFE for use. Damages axles, brakes that do not work and electrical 110 amp wires held together with wire nuts (failed) short-circuited wiring in the wiring harness, door lock problems, sinks that become unattached to the counter, water heater that failed and multiple other issues that I consider to be significant and unusual, have now rendered the unit depreciated more than 65% of its value. The product is trash, at best. For the dealer to sell such an inferior product at a premium price and then refuse to repair it, is totally unacceptable. Management and owners are aware and simply do not care. They were paid. This is what they are in business to do. I was told personally by a service technician, that the they (service technicians )are not paid well for service work and are paid well for "Off the street" work. This directly contradicts the posted statement in their service department that pledges that Carolina Coach Customers will receive preferential service, prior to serving others. However, certainly explains why a dealership would become reluctant to perform endless service to endless warranty issues, if they are not happy with the compensation provided to them by the manufacturer. I still am trying to determine why this is my problem!

I would never do business with this company or buy a Crossroads (by THOR) product again.

Be aware that the BBB is powerless to move a member to action, regardless of the magnitude of the infraction. BBB is looking for annual dues and has no intention of helping the public in any way, with issues such as this or any other, in my opinion.

I am in the third month of a four-month bucket list RV trip. My Sprinter had developed some issues, and with a month lead time IPhoned 3 dealers closest to my home in Florida for a service appointment. The responses were discouraging. 1. "We don't do warranty work" 2. "Did you buy the rig here? We service our own customers first. We're booked up until December. And we won't make an appointment for you then" 3. "We don't work on Class B's".
So having struck out with the home team, I called the manufacturer of my rig, Roadtrek, and ask for their service recommendation. Carolina Coach and Marine was on their list so I gave you a call. Kim answered and after hearing my issues, said the magic words "When can you get here? I was so happy I could have cried. Hurricane Matthew was raking the coast. I drove 6 1/2 hours through pounding rain and wind and was greeted by Kim with a parking spot, electric dump and water for my vehicle. Wow. I know you guys are incredibly busy, but you work me in for a diagnosis on Monday. You contacted the manufacturer because this was a warranty claim, ordered parts, they were overnighted. The parts came in Thursday, you did the repairs and I was ready to roll Thursday afternoon!
I do not take any of this for granted. I have needed service everywhere from South Florida to Alaska and in between. In most places you might wait weeks for an appointment for diagnosis, and perhaps weeks more to get the parts, then have to drive back again for the repair.
Your service staff was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and a blessing to this road weary traveler. I am recommending you to all of my Roadtrek friends. Thank you so much for getting y rig repaired and back on the road, and so quickly.

Really great individuals here. They took real good care of the problem at hand while I was able to relax a bit after a lengthy haul. I met Greg I believe, forgive me if the name is wrong, and he was a solid deal. There was some paint chipping from the last guys who I guess were new at their job or something. Being one to do things myself, this was one area I was not touching. Letting the professionals here do the job was the right decision and I would very much recommend Carolina Coach and Marine for your coach and rv.

The buying process went well! You walk in, talk to a few people like you do, and walk out with a smile on your face. Nothing bad to report. It went just as expected. 10/10

I just got the entertainment system on my coach fixed up here. Coming all the way from Colorado, I thought this would be a hassle, but it was very easy. The staff was really nice and that southern hospitality you expect was very comforting.

When my wife and I retired, we moved from Northern Virginia to the West side of Lake Norman, North Carolina. Believing that we’d have lots and lots of family visit, I sold my aluminum fishing boat and purchased a tri-toon. We didn’t have the frequent (read weekly) visits that we expected and although the tri-toon was set-up to fish, it just wasn’t the same as a fishing boat. The decision was made to sell the tri-toon and get a REAL fishing boat.

Buying a boat is like buying a car. You do your internet research, go kick the tires then secure your best deal and make the purchase. Having completed my research, the next step was to kick the tires. I visited the two local dealers with boats in their showrooms and/or on their lots and made the obligatory trip to Bass Pro. To complete this process I attended both the Charlotte and Greensboro boat shows.

I don’t remember why I didn’t spend more time with Carolina Coach and Marine discussing their Triton boats at the Charlotte Boat Show but when I got to the Greensboro Boat Show, I was more serious about looking and buying. My wife accompanied me to Greensboro and I do believe between the two of us we fully occupied the time of Bill Harris, the Sales Manager, Greg King, the Service Manager, and Robert George, the Lead Salesman. Bill, Greg and Robert didn’t know where I was in my thinking process but this didn’t sway their willingness to discuss and show their boat and visit with both my wife and I like they would with old friends.

I learned two important things at Greensboro. First, I learned that Triton produced one well-thought-out and constructed boat. And, second, I learned that Carolina Coach and Marine had friendly and knowledgeable representatives. When we left the Greensboro Show I knew I wanted a Triton but more importantly, I knew I wanted to team with Carolina Coach and Marine.

The following Monday, I made the short trip to Carolina Coach and Marine to order my Triton 20Trx. Bill, Greg and Robert didn’t try to sell me. They had already figured out that I was particular and opinionated. However, they all took time from their already busy day to again show me features of the 20TrX. Although I had planned on ordering a boat, one had just rolled off the truck that, while a little more decked-out than I planned on, more than met my requirements. If I could get my price I really wanted to drive that Triton off of the lot!

Before I left Monday, we had negotiated a very reasonable price on the Triton and a more than fair trade on the tri-toon. Even after the deal was signed Bill, Greg and Robert spent tons of time with me - - Bill even showed my son and I one of his favorite fishing lakes. Carolina Coach and Marine is a large company however, you won’t feel like a number, you will feel like family and you will get the best in sales and service. I give Carolina Coach and Marine five stars!

My experience with the sales staff when purchasing my new 5th wheel, was superb. However, the finance person, without authorization, shared personal information with an insurance company that resulted in an unauthorized credit inquiry. Needless inquiries such as these are not only illegal but contribute to lowering credit scores of the best credit records that exist. After I addressed this with the dealer, they denied having provided this information, but did say that that they provided "Limited" information. The insurance company states that they were provided the information from the dealer. The insurance company has confirmed, by letter, that the inquiry was performed. The dealer now is basically refusing to return my calls and it appears that any support from that dealer, regarding the new unit, is not available?
