Thought owner was trustworthy. Not the case. Had a foundation concrete block stem wall leaning and needed it replaced. He replaced it but did not bother to build it at the same height as the existing stem wall. There was anywhere from a 1/4" to 3/4" gap between the repaired stem wall and the house sill plate. Oh, and the cap blocks on top inside the crawl space had no mortar on them on the bottom or sides. As a result, they were leaning. His fix for this was to mortar the gap on the outside and ignore the rest. Not sure he really knew how to fix this. When I asked him how he would fix this the second time he did not seem to know. Had enough and ran him off. Cannot recommend him. I must hire someone else now. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
